In this workshop, we cover the basic of dot mandala painting: the best tools and paints, prepping and laying out a pattern and techniques to create movement and dimension. Students created a practice piece and created a finished piece using a pattern for beginners from Otauna by the end of the workshop.

This course is for individuals or small groups. It starts with the basics of how to see light, shadow and value. We begin with black and white sketches, move to painting with a simple color palette, basic color mixing and move into more complex still lifes while learning the ins and outs of painting with acrylics.
