"Camino Dreaming: Sketches of Spain" is a growing body of work reflecting various moments and memories of a 400 mile/650 kilometer pilgrimage in Northern Spain, undertaken in fall of 2014. These sketches and paintings endeavor to imbue a sense of the intensity and euphoria of experiencing the Spanish countryside on foot, contemplating the slow drama of light and shadow dancing and gliding across the landscape throughout the day.

"Sunrise in Roncesvalles"
A 24”x36” oil painting on canvas. This represents the very first photo I took on The Camino at sunrise in Roncesvalles. The beginning of an extraordinary journey that has continued on in different ways and places for the last six years. The clouds are meant to (subtly) represent the Camino Marker shells.
